Victor Avila’s No. 1 issue is border security.
As someone who was born and raised in El Paso, and having served the country in border security under Immigration and Customs Enforcement, Avila understands why border security is a main concern for Americans.
As previously reported by The Dallas Express, LexisNexus data shows Americans have never discussed border security more than they are discussing it now. There have been around 175,000 recorded usages of the term “border security” in the English language North American press and similar sources since 2020. Around 65,000 of those have been this year alone.
“I am a retired supervisory special agent with Homeland Security investigations under ICE,” Avila said on the Carlos Turcios Uncensored Show.
“At this point, the entire country now and every state has become a border state,” Avila said.
Avila said that an open border has led to more drug trafficking, human trafficking, deaths, and America being unsafe.
According to the Official U.S. Customs and Border Protection data, more than 10 million illegal aliens have come to the U.S. since President Joe Biden took office.
Avila says that mass deportations are possible.
Avila believes that many migrants will self deport themselves if former President Donald Trump wins in November.
Avila says that local, state and federal authorities will need to work together.
“We will need the help of the locals and the states, and this is where the challenge comes because you know these sanctuary cities and sanctuary states are not going to want to cooperate with federal authorities. Not just ICE, federal authorities to begin with,” Avila said.
Avila says that the states and cities that do not cooperate should be punished financially by the federal government. He also said that foreign governments such as Mexico need to be pressured to cooperate, as well.
“[We must] work very closely with these local jurisdictions in state. For example, the state of Texas, I know they would give us their troopers to help us, so we are going to start doing it. All of these facilities that we have built around the border for illegals, we start housing them there, grouping them and start flying them back to their country,” Avila said.
Mass deportation will also involved prosecution of some illegal aliens.
“The other part of mass deportation is prosecution of some of these individuals. Some of the individuals that are going to be caught and are here illegally are very dangerous,” Avila said.
Avila says that mass deportations will send a message to the whole world.
“The message is sent around the world, that this is over. You are not going to come. You are not going to get free resources,” Avila said.
Avila says that the financial incentives also needs to be removed.
“The magnet that exists today, of the free money, health care, education is no longer existent, so we are not going to give you anything,” Avila said in regards to mass deportations.
Avila also says that preventing mass illegal migration will end up saving lives.
And that includes the lives of migrants, who Avila had a warning for: “Help your family. Do not get in a dangerous situation, and have your wife and little girl raped on the way over here, or drown in the river, or cooked to death in the desert,”
And that, Avila said, is why “securing the border is a good thing.”
