Two Texas Men Accused of Attacking Officers During Capitol Protest

Lucas Denney of Mansfield and Donald Hazard of Hurst have been accused of engaging in physical violence in a restricted building or grounds, civil disorder, obstructing an official proceeding, among other charges.

The Tarrant County men face federal criminal charges following the event that occurred in January at the United States Capitol.

Denney allegedly swung a metal pole at an officer, pushed another, and pulled a third officer down steps outside the Capitol.

Hazard is accused of knocking one officer unconscious, according to the FBI.

The Dallas FBI field office has made 35 arrests following the January 6th incident.
