Turning Point USA (TPUSA) reported a surge in grassroots interest after Erika Kirk delivered her first public remarks since the assassination of her husband, conservative leader Charlie Kirk.
As previously reported by The Dallas Express, Erika Kirk delivered an emotional speech Friday evening, vowing to continue her husband’s mission. Her remarks drew national attention and prompted tributes nationwide.
Andrew Kolvet, executive producer of The Charlie Kirk Show, told Fox News that TPUSA has received more than 37,000 requests to launch new chapters since the assassination.
“I have personally received hundreds of offers to work for us, or to work for free, or to just help however,” Kolvet told Fox News.
“Charlie’s vision to have a Club America chapter (our high school brand) in every high school in America (around 23,000) will come true much much faster than he could have ever possibly imagined. Truly incredible.” Kolvet wrote on X.
Kolvet said Kirk’s influence endures, noting that TPUSA content reached high levels of online engagement.
“Charlie Kirk and TPUSA also had 15 BILLION social media views of his debate clips, show clips, and events across social media in fall leadup to the election. 15 BILLION with a B. According to TikTok’s own national survey, he was the most trusted voice for Trump voters under 30,” Kolvet wrote.
Elected officials across the country pledged support to continue Kirk’s legacy.
“If you’re looking to grow a TPUSA chapter in Texas, I’m here to help. If there’s something I can do or someone I can call, my DMs are open. Charlie supported me at the times I needed it most. The least I can do is help carry on his legacy,” Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton posted.
Some supporters described the surge as evidence that the assassination backfired.
“Demonic forces thought they could silence a movement by assassinating its most articulate voice. But @TPUSAnow has over 37,000 applications to start new chapters on school campuses. This is 10x the existing number. Their evil will serve to accelerate freedom like never before,” Tarrant County GOP Chairman Bo French said.
TPUSA leaders pledged to continue Kirk’s mission through expanded campus tours, national conferences, and daily broadcasts of The Charlie Kirk Show.
