(Texas Scorecard) – The Trump administration’s pre-Easter Holy Week celebrations and observances are a contrast to the Biden administration’s declaration of Easter Sunday 2024 as “Transgender Day of Visibility,” a designation that many saw as an outrageous disregard for the sacredness of the day and promotion of transgender ideology.

This year, however, the message from the White House is significantly different, with statements that directly honor God and country.

“It will always be In God We Trust. We will never change that… With God’s help, we can overcome every challenge, triumph over every evil, and restore the spirit of faith in the United States,” President Donald Trump said at an Easter Prayer Service and Dinner during Holy Week.

Citizens Defending Freedom, a grassroots organization championing freedom and liberty, saw the Trump administration’s actions as an expression of respect for the sanctity of Easter and an assertion of confidence for the future.

“Declaring that ‘Easter deserves the observance,’ the White House drew national attention for putting Christ—not politics—at the center of America’s most sacred holiday,” CDF stated in a post on Wednesday.

“At a time when America is desperate for clarity, truth, and moral leadership, the decision to honor Easter so publicly sends a message of hope.”

In his Presidential Message on Holy Week, 2025, President Trump prayed for the country.

“This week, we pray for an outpouring of the Holy Spirit upon our beloved Nation,” he said. “We pray that America will remain a beacon of faith, hope, and freedom for the entire world, and we pray to achieve a future that reflects the truth, beauty, and goodness of Christ’s eternal kingdom in Heaven.”

Trump added, “May God bless you and your family during this special time of year and may He continue to bless the United States of America.”
