President Trump marked National Men’s Health Week by pledging federal support for men’s health initiatives.

The President’s message comes as men face a five-year shorter life expectancy than women. Male suicide rates remain four times higher than female rates, and men are more than twice as likely as women to overdose.

Trump’s statement blamed what he called “a vicious campaign against masculinity” for contributing to men’s health challenges. He claimed this “war on manhood has left many American men in a state of loneliness, confusion, and emptiness.”

Men visit healthcare providers less frequently than women, the message noted. They also experience heart attacks an average of 10 years earlier and delay seeking critical care at higher rates.

The President pledged his administration would “always have your back” regarding men’s health issues. He vowed to “never waver in our promise to embolden you to lead long, healthy, and safe lives.”

Trump referenced an executive order signed last month addressing prescription drug pricing. The order aims to deliver “most-favored-nation pricing to American patients” while improving healthcare access.

The message also mentioned Trump’s Make America Healthy Again Commission. Together with the pricing order, Trump said these initiatives would empower “men to prioritize their health and prolong their lives.”

Trump promised his administration would “relentlessly pursue a healthier future for the men of our nation.” He pledged to “lift you up rather than tear you down” while championing “the voices, values, and wellness of hardworking American men.”
