Over the weekend, former President Donald Trump received endorsements from former NFL stars Le’Veon Bell and Antonio Brown at a rally in Latrobe, Pennsylvania.
Both athletes took the stage to show their support, with Brown leading the crowd in a chant for the Pittsburgh Steelers and Bell passionately urging people to vote for Trump. Wearing a MAGA hat, Brown expressed his admiration for Trump while also taking a swipe at Democratic Vice Presidential nominee Tim Walz, mocking his past as a high school football coach, the New York Post reported.
Trump used the rally to highlight his energy policy, especially his strong backing of fracking, contrasting it with Kamala Harris’s stance on the issue.
He claimed that banning fracking, as Harris has allegedly suggested, would result in the loss of over 500,000 jobs in Pennsylvania. Trump promised to continue supporting the oil and gas industry with slogans like “frack-frack-frack” and “drill baby drill” while also criticizing Harris’s economic plans, accusing her of wanting to raise taxes.
Throughout the event, Trump portrayed Harris as a radical liberal, particularly in relation to the Green New Deal, which he dubbed the “New Green Scam.”
He promised to cut taxes on tips and overtime and eliminate what he described as unnecessary economic burdens. The rally ended with Trump making a humorous remark about legendary golfer Arnold Palmer, which drew laughter from the crowd.
