Trump Threatens Iran To Stop Retaliation, Says Israel ‘Violently Lashed Out’ In Gas Strikes

After Israel struck massive Iranian gas fields, President Donald Trump said Israel “violently lashed out” without American knowledge.

Israel attacked the largest natural gas fields in the world, in Iran’s South Pars Gas Company, on March 18, also killing Iran’s intelligence minister.

Trump said the strikes took out a small section of the gas facility, but America and Qatar were unaware of the plans.

“Israel, out of anger for what has taken place in the Middle East, has violently lashed out at a major facility known as South Pars Gas Field in Iran,” Trump wrote on Truth Social on March 18. “The United States knew nothing about this particular attack, and the country of Qatar was in no way, shape, or form, involved with it, nor did it have any idea that it was going to happen.”

Iran, however, thought America and Qatar were involved. As such, its military attacked a section of Qatar’s natural gas facility, Trump noted. According to the AP, Iran also launched missile strikes against Israel, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain, and the United Arab Emirates – sparking hostilities from top diplomats across the region.

“NO MORE ATTACKS WILL BE MADE BY ISRAEL pertaining to this extremely important and valuable South Pars Field unless Iran unwisely decides to attack a very innocent, in this case, Qatar,” Trump continued. “In which instance the United States of America, with or without the help or consent of Israel, will massively blow up the entirety of the South Pars Gas Field at an amount of strength and power that Iran has never seen or witnessed before.”

Trump expressed reluctance to launch more attacks on the Iranian oil fields, but also said he would do so swiftly if Iran’s retaliation continues.

“I do not want to authorize this level of violence and destruction because of the long term implications that it will have on the future of Iran, but if Qatar’s LNG is again attacked, I will not hesitate to do so,” Trump posted.

Israel also struck 30 Iranian fuel depots on March 7 to 8, leaving apocalyptic scenes across Tehran, as The Dallas Express reported. According to Axios, the attacks “dismayed” some American military officials who were unaware of the plans.

These earlier strikes pushed oil prices above $100 per barrel, raising gas prices in the United States, as DX also reported.

“Short term oil prices, which will drop rapidly when the destruction of the Iran nuclear threat is over, is a very small price to pay for U.S.A., and World, Safety and Peace,” Trump posted on March 8. “ONLY FOOLS WOULD THINK DIFFERENTLY!”

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt called the prices a “short-term disruption.”

“Ultimately taking out the rogue Iranian regime is going to be a good thing for the oil industry,” she said, “and those prices are going to come back down just like they have over the course of the past year because of President Trump’s American energy dominance agenda.”
