President Donald Trump said he underwent an MRI during a recent medical checkup at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center and described the results as “perfect.”
Trump told reporters about the scan while traveling aboard Air Force One to Tokyo during his Asia tour. The MRI occurred in early October, six months after a previous physical in April, just before his trip to the Middle East.
“I did, I got an MRI, it was perfect, yep,” Trump said, according to CBS News. “I gave you the full results. We had an MRI and the machine, you know, the whole thing, and it was perfect.”

When asked what doctors were looking for, Trump replied, “You could ask the doctors. In fact, we have doctors traveling with us. But I think they gave you a very conclusive — nobody has ever given you reports like I gave you.”
The President said his doctors told him he received “some of the best reports, for the age, some of the best reports they’ve ever seen.”
White House physician Capt. Sean Barbarella said in a memo following the checkup that Trump remained in excellent health.
He added that Trump’s cardiac age “was found to be approximately 14 years younger than his chronological age.”
Barbarella also said the President’s medical team conducted “advanced imaging, laboratory testing, and preventive health assessments.” He noted that “comprehensive laboratory studies performed in conjunction with the visit were exceptional, including stable metabolic, hematologic, and cardiac parameters.”
It remains unclear whether the MRI was a routine preventive measure or prompted by a specific medical concern. However, Trump emphasized his good health and transparency regarding his results.
The update follows previous medical evaluations that similarly concluded Trump was in strong condition for his age. His doctor’s report and the President’s remarks both highlighted consistent cardiac and metabolic performance since his last physical earlier this year.
