Lara Logan traveled to Belgrade, Serbia, for Episode 62 of Going Rogue with Lara Logan, interviewing Serbian businessman Bogoljub Karić about the American dream, immigration, and Serbia’s strategic position in the Balkans.
Karić recounts building a private business in communist-era Yugoslavia and later expanding into major construction and technology ventures. The interview also addresses Serbia’s post–Cold War history, including the country’s memory of NATO’s 1999 bombing campaign.
Logan presses Karić on mass migration into Western countries and his argument for stricter enforcement, alongside an investment-based immigration proposal aimed at attracting wealthy entrepreneurs. The two also discuss energy dependence, great-power competition involving the U.S., Russia, and China, and Karić’s view that President Donald Trump’s approach is reshaping global politics.
