Pentagon officials revealed drones have been spotted over U.S. military installations in England but provided few details on their origin or intentions, emphasizing operational security.

The Air Force stated it is working with British authorities to protect personnel and facilities, while the British Ministry of Defense cited robust counter-drone measures without elaborating, The Washington Times reported.

“To protect operational security, we do not discuss our specific force protection measures but retain the right to protect the installation,” the Air Force said in a statement. “We continue to monitor our airspace and are working with host-nation authorities and mission partners to ensure the safety of base personnel, facilities and assets.”

These incidents have raised concerns that adversaries like China or Russia may be conducting intelligence-gathering missions using drones over U.S. and allied military installations.

Reports of unidentified aerial phenomena (UAPs) have surged recently, as reported by The Dallas Express.

The Pentagon documented over 700 sightings from May 2023 to June 2024, including three cases where UAPs reportedly shadowed U.S. military aircraft.

While some speculate about extraterrestrial involvement, the Pentagon’s All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office (AARO) has found no evidence supporting such theories.

“It is important to underscore that, to date, AARO has discovered no evidence of extraterrestrial beings, activity, or technology,” an AARO report read.

The AARO report reiterated that there is no evidence of alien activity, technology, or beings linked to the sightings. The increase in reports underscores the importance of addressing potential foreign intelligence threats and public fascination with unidentified aerial phenomena.

The sightings continue to spark debate and concern, especially as they highlight potential security vulnerabilities at sensitive installations.
