Is trouble brewing inside Barack Obama’s marriage to former First Lady Michelle Obama?

Speculation about a potential divorce between the Obamas has been fueled by Michelle’s absence from key public events, such as Jimmy Carter’s funeral and Donald Trump’s inauguration, both of which the former 44th President attended alone.

The former President appeared to attempt to squash any rumors by posting an image on Instagram of the two clicking wine glasses in celebration of Michelle’s birthday on January 17, calling Michelle the “love of my life.”

Recent online reports and social media posts have suggested a romantic involvement between former President Obama and actress Jennifer Aniston. She denied the claims.

In an interview, Aniston stated, “I have met him once. I know Michelle more than him,” People Magazine reported.

But many former first couple watchers weren’t sold by Obama’s show of scripted affection on Instagram. And Aniston’s comment seemed to drive social media users to prove otherwise.

The video is not dated, nor was Aniston seen on camera.

The speculation game, however, has been fresh fuel for political pundits.

And the gossip has made for some interesting photoshopped images.

Despite Obama sharing on Instagram that Michelle remains the “love” of his life and Aniston flatly dismissing any connection, some media outlets can’t seem to get enough.

The Sun, a tabloid newspaper in the U.K., went so far as to hire a body language expert to look for signs of tension between the former president and his wife.
