Federal regulators have announced recalls for baby loungers and crib mattresses sold online, citing violations of mandatory infant sleep standards that could lead to falls, entrapment, suffocation, or serious injury.
The Consumer Product Safety Commission detailed the actions involving about 11,900 BBWOO Baby Loungers, 9,300 Joyful Journeys Baby Loungers, and 1,700 KEAWIS Crib Mattresses, all manufactured in China and distributed through major e-commerce sites.
For BBWOO loungers, sold on Amazon.com from July 2024 through November 2025 for $34 to $39, the sides are too low to contain infants, and the foot openings are excessively wide, creating fall and entrapment dangers. The lack of a stand also poses risks on elevated surfaces, potentially causing unsafe sleep conditions and death or injury.
The products feature a foam pad with padded bumpers and cloth covers, tied with a ribbon at one end. Affected models include Gray Dinosaur (BLG26BE), Blue Car (BLG23BD), Green Line (BLG04BD), Gray Feather (BLG01BE), Pink Deer (BLG17BI), Pink Elephant (BLG32BI), Gray Line (BLG04BE), Blue (CZC44), Gray (CZC41), Khaki-Cotton & Velvet (CZC43), and Red (CZC42). Model numbers appear on tracking labels stitched to the outer cover.
Consumers must cease use immediately, remove foam and pads, cut the cover, foam, and pad in half, and email photos of the destroyed items to [email protected] for a full refund from retailer 91440300MA5HFP8E78, doing business as LSY Direct of China. No incidents have been reported.
Separately, Joyful Journeys loungers, available on Amazon.com and Walmart.com from December 2023 through October 2025 for $40 to $60, share similar issues: low sides, wide foot openings, and no stand, heightening fall and entrapment hazards in an unsafe sleep setup.
These loungers consist of a foam pad with padded bumpers and cloth covers, zipping into a bag with a top strap. Styles include green avocado, blue dinosaur, blue lambs, blue zoo animals, green minky, neutral elephants, pink zoo animals, and white minky. The brand name “Joyful Journeys” is on tags stitched to the outer cover and labels on the back.
Owners should stop using them, dismantle the foam and pads, cut the cover, foam, and pad in half, and send photos to [email protected] for a full refund from Sarnia Sales LLC, doing business as Joyful Journeys of Issaquah, Washington.
No injuries have been reported.
The KEAWIS mattresses, sold on Amazon.com from August 2024 through July 2025 for $50 to $60, do not fit properly in some play yards or non-full-sized cribs, creating gaps that pose entrapment and suffocation risks, especially if an infant’s face presses against the side.
Available in white, pink, and light blue, they measure about 38 inches by 24 inches with model “XX-BM-01” on side labels. The importer listed may differ from “Yixing Trading.”
Owners should halt use, cut a large “X” across the surface, mark their name and date on it, photograph the damaged mattress, and email the photo to [email protected] for a full refund from Yixing Trading of Richmond, Kentucky. No incidents noted.
