Former White House intern Monica Lewinsky, with whom former President Bill Clinton admitted to having an affair during his presidency, has made an endorsement in the 2024 presidential race.

Lewinsky, 51, wrote on X, “PLEASE VOTE!” She added, “(preferably like I did for harris/walz).”

She also attached an image of a smiling selfie with an “I Voted” sticker.

This is Lewisnky’s first endorsement in recent years. She stayed out of the race between Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump in 2016 and has repeatedly dodged any effort to draw her back into the political realm.

Lewinsky is a former White House intern who gained national attention in the late 1990s due to her involvement in a political scandal with then-President Bill Clinton.

Their affair, which took place between 1995 and 1997, came to light during an investigation led by independent counsel Kenneth Starr.

Clinton initially denied the affair but eventually admitted to it, leading to his impeachment by the House of Representatives on charges of perjury and obstruction of justice. The scandal had a lasting impact on American politics and media while also significantly affecting Lewinsky’s personal life and public image.

Lewinsky has gone on to become a documentary filmmaker and even briefly hosted a dating show.

This endorsement comes as a number of “celebrity” women, including Beyonce and Jennifer Lopez, have lined up behind Harris.

The Clintons endorsed Harris shortly after her announcement, while other prominent Democrats, such as the Obamas, initially withheld their support.
