A non-governmental agency in Mexico has allegedly been encouraging people waiting to try to claim asylum in the U.S. to vote for President Joe Biden in the upcoming presidential election in November.

A social media thread posted by the Oversight Project details multiple flyers that are hung around the NGO Resource Center Matamoros (RCM) in Tamaulipas, Mexico.

“Reminder to vote for President Biden when you are in the United States. We need another four years of his term to stay open,” reads the flyer, according to the social media post by the Oversight Project.

The first video posted in the thread shows these flyers hanging on the walls of porta-potties. The account states that the flyers were also allegedly handed out to immigrants as they entered the property.

RCM describes itself as a “6-unit office complex that is the home for [the Hebrew Immigrant Aid Society], which is providing legal assistance and assistance obtaining formal documents for job search and integration into the city of Matamoros as [‘asylum seekers’] wait to access the asylum process in the US.”

The Oversight Project provides further details about RCM in the thread, stating that the organization has connections to multiple non-profit organizations in South Texas, such as Save the Children, Team Brownsville Texas, and Angry Tias and Abuelas, some of which are reportedly funded by George Soros.

This thread also claims, based on documents obtained by Judicial Watch, that current United States Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas has recently met with multiple of these non-profit organizations, including Team Brownsville and Angry Tias and Abuelas.

Mayorkas has continually stressed that the border is “as secure as it can be,” telling Congress on Tuesday that he did not remember saying that 85% of unlawful migrants apprehended at the border are released into the U.S.

“I do not recall that exchange in an internal meeting with the workforce, and let me assure you that the security of the southern border is our highest priority,” he said, according to the New York Post.

National Border Patrol Council President Brandon Judd confirmed to the New York Post that Mayorkas did make these statements in January.

Despite the claims made by Mayorkas about the security of the border, U.S. Customs and Border Protection has reported more than 7.9 million encounters with unlawful migrants since Biden took office in 2021.

Additionally, the House Homeland Security Committee has claimed that at least 1.7 million “gotaways,” meaning migrants who entered the U.S. and evaded apprehension, have entered the country during the same period.

Federal law prohibits non-U.S. citizens from voting in federal elections. Penalties can include a fine, up to a year in prison, and deportation. But, not all states require identification or proof of citizenship in order to vote.

Prominent individuals including Elon Musk have theorized that increasing the population of foreign-born people in the United States — whether present lawfully or unlawfully — is part of Democrats’ plan to secure power in the country and ensure Biden is re-elected.

“Biden’s strategy is very simple,” Musk previously posted on his social platform X.

“1. Get as many illegals in the country as possible. 2. Legalize them to create a permanent majority – a one-party state. That is why they are encouraging so much illegal immigration. Simple, yet effective.”

“Most people in America don’t know that the census is based on a simple headcount of people (including illegals) *not* just citizens,” he added. “This shifts political power and money to states and Congressional districts with the highest number of illegals.”
