A thirty-nine-year-old man was arrested in Utah for his alleged murder of the fifty-two-year-old woman who was his domestic partner.

Raymond Earl Turner Jr. is accused of murdering Jacqueline Archuleta, according to DeSoto police.

According to DeSoto Police, Archuleta was found unresponsive by a relative in her home located in the 1100 block of Marisa Lane in DeSoto on December 13. The fifty-two-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene, and Desoto police said she died due to severe trauma inflicted upon her body.

Police in Moab, Utah, arrested Turner Jr. on an unrelated charge. Police revealed that Turner started talking in detail about the DeSoto case to law enforcement, including the FBI, while in custody.

DeSoto Police Detectives Javier Acosta and Stephen Boor worked with the Moab, Utah Police Department and Grand County, Utah Sheriff’s Office and District Attorney’s Office to hold the suspect.

Turner is currently being held without bond in the Grand County, Utah, Jail on charges including evading police with a vehicle and prohibited possession of a weapon, according to online records.

DeSoto PD has charged Turner with murder, and he will be extradited to Dallas County to formally face the charge and stand trial.
