A Texas congressman’s lawsuit against President Joe Biden for sending U.S. taxpayer funds to Palestine in potential violation of the law against funding terrorist organizations has scored a significant victory.

A federal judge ordered that discovery could begin, allowing additional evidence to be revealed.

The ruling comes as Israel has been rocked by a shocking wave of terror launched by Hamas operating out of the Palestinian-controlled Gaza Strip. Civilians have been executed, decapitated, and kidnapped by terrorists, including older adults, women, and children, as reported by The Dallas Express.

The Biden administration has been heavily criticized for unfreezing vast sums of U.S. taxpayer funds to state partners who actively fund Hamas, forming the lawsuit’s basis.

Rep. Ronny Jackson (R-TX) filed the lawsuit and explained, “I SUED the Biden Administration for ILLEGALLY & knowingly funding Palestinian terror,” per his October 10 post on X, formerly Twitter.

“Today, a US District Court judge granted our motion to begin discovery,” Jackson announced. “Biden FULLY FUNDED the fatal attacks against Israel. THIS IS ON HIM!!”

Jackson’s lawsuit was filed in conjunction with advocacy group American First Legal (AFL).

“We sued President Biden and Secretary Blinken for violating the Taylor Force Act and illegally subsidizing Palestinian terrorism,” the organization posted.

“Following barbaric attacks by Hamas – killing 14 Americans and 1000+ other innocent men, women, and children, and with an unknown number of Americans now being held hostage in Gaza – the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Texas granted our motion to begin discovery in our case,” AFL continued.

“We are going to show what the Biden Administration knew about their plans and the outcomes of their policies,” the organization promised.

The Taylor Force Act was signed into law in 2018 to prevent U.S. taxpayer funds from going to Palestinian leadership as long as they continue the notorious “pay-for-slay” program, which provides stipends to families of jailed or slain terrorists, also known as the “Martyrs’ Fund,” per the Foundation for Defense of Democracies.

However, when the Biden administration implemented plans to distribute hundreds of millions in funds to Palestinian authorities in 2021, documents show it did so despite being made aware that these plans could benefit Hamas and other regional terror factions. The State Department reportedly went so far as to request special permission to waive laws that would have prevented the funding, per the Washington Free Beacon.

Private communications show the State Department assessed that “there is a high risk Hamas could potentially derive indirect, unintentional benefit from U.S. assistance to Gaza.”

In the original lawsuit, it is noted that the Biden administration, despite the law, has “transferred nearly half a billion American taxpayer dollars to directly benefit and subsidize the Palestinian Authority.”

“Among other things, the defendants are unlawfully laundering U.S. taxpayer funds through non-governmental organizations to directly benefit the Palestinian Authority,” the suit continued. “Every terrorist, regardless of their affiliations or the identity of their victims, is paid by the Palestinian Authority.”

For his part, Biden has condemned the terrorist attacks on Israel, saying, “Terrorism is never justified. Israel has a right to defend itself and its people.”

“The United States warns against any other party hostile to Israel seeking advantage in this situation,” he continued. “My Administration’s support for Israel’s security is rock solid and unwavering.”
