Hampton Grocers, Inc. is recalling certain pouches of Lacnola Lactation Granola over concerns that the product may be contaminated with Salmonella, according to a notice from the Food and Drug Administration.

The recall was issued after a supplier notified the company that one of its products had tested positive for Salmonella. That product contains organic moringa powder, an ingredient also used in the granola, the FDA recall notice stated.

The affected granola was sold nationwide through the Hampton Grocers website and other online retailers, including Amazon, between October 21, 2025, and August 12, 2026. The recalled product comes in pink, 8-ounce stand-up pouches with UPC 850035324554.

Consumers can identify recalled pouches by the lot codes and expiration dates printed on the upper-left side of the packaging. The affected lots are HGLC-102125, with an expiration date of 21OCT2026, and HGLC-021326, with an expiration date of 13FEB2027.

Hampton Grocers said no illnesses tied to the granola have been reported.

Customers who purchased the product are being asked to discard the pouches and contact the retailer where they purchased the granola to receive a full refund.

Production of the granola has been paused while Hampton Grocers and the FDA work to identify the source of the potential contamination.

Salmonella exposure can lead to salmonellosis, a foodborne illness that typically causes fever, diarrhea, or abdominal pain within six hours to six days of consuming a contaminated product. Symptoms can last up to a week, and most people recover without medical treatment. Young children, older adults, and people with weakened immune systems face a higher risk of more severe illness.
