Kanye West, also known as Ye, sparked outrage during Super Bowl LIX after airing a bizarre 30-second Yeezy advertisement, reportedly filmed on his iPhone. The ad, which showed West in a dentist’s chair, directed viewers to his website, but its timing — amid his recent antisemitic remarks and self-proclaimed Nazi affiliation — made it highly controversial.

Following the ad, West continued to stir controversy on X by making inflammatory posts targeting Taylor Swift and Kendrick Lamar while also expressing support for embattled music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs. His activity led to widespread backlash, prompting calls for his suspension.

Elon Musk, the owner of X, intervened by flagging West’s posts as potentially sensitive content.

This move came after West had already drawn widespread criticism for praising Adolf Hitler and making openly antisemitic statements. Musk, a vocal advocate of free speech on the platform, faced growing pressure to take action against West’s escalating rhetoric.

Shortly after Musk’s intervention, West deleted his X account entirely. In his final message, he thanked Musk for allowing him to share his thoughts and described his time on the platform as a “spiritual journey.”
