Federal regulators have recalled hundreds of bottles of Joly’s 80% Vinegar sold on Amazon after discovering the products lacked crucial warning labels and could cause fatal poisoning or severe chemical burns.

The Consumer Product Safety Commission announced the recall on Thursday, citing violations of federal hazardous substance labeling laws that left consumers unaware of the product’s dangers.

The recall affects about 450 units of the product.

The recall affects 32-ounce bottles manufactured by Joly’s LLC of Orlando, Florida, and sold on Amazon.com between May and November 2025. The transparent bottles feature orange and red labels with “Joly’s,” “80% Vinegar,” and “Dilutes to 5 Gallons” printed on them.

Consumers paid approximately $23 for two-bottle packs of the industrial-strength vinegar. The CPSC warned that swallowing the contents could be deadly, while improper handling risks severe chemical burns to the skin and eyes.

The agency urged buyers to immediately move the vinegar away from children and contact Joly’s for refund and disposal instructions. Customers should email [email protected] with a photo showing “RECALLED” written on the original packaging.

No injuries have been reported to date. The recall highlights ongoing concerns about hazardous household products sold through online marketplaces without proper safety warnings.
