Prominent podcaster Joe Rogan has turned down an interview with Vice President Kamala Harris due to conditions set by her campaign, though he expressed hope the conversation could still happen.
Rogan said the Harris team requested he travel to her location and limit the interview to one hour — terms he found unsuitable, the New York Post reported.
“They offered a date for Tuesday, but I would have had to travel to her, and they only wanted to do an hour. I strongly feel the best way to do it is in the studio in Austin,” Rogan shared on X (formerly Twitter). He emphasized that the invitation remains open, saying, “I really hope we can make it happen.”
The development comes after former President Donald Trump appeared for a three-hour interview on The Joe Rogan Experience, drawing over 37 million views on YouTube. During his conversation with Trump, Rogan confirmed that talks with Harris’s campaign were ongoing but provided no further details.
Trump mocked the idea of Harris enduring a three-hour interview, saying, “If she did this kind of interview, she’d be laying on the floor, calling in the medics.”
Rogan countered, insisting he believed they could have a meaningful conversation, stating, “I’d talk to her like a human being. That was my goal—trying to get her to express herself.”
Harris, in the final stretch of her campaign, has opted for appearances on shows such as Call Her Daddy, The View, The Howard Stern Show, and The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.
