During a House Judiciary Subcommittee meeting on FBI oversight, Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-Texas) made a jaw dropping admission: she secured her role as a public defender, despite lacking criminal defense experience, by telling her boss, “You should hire me… because I’m Black.”
Jasmine Crockett brags about being a DEI hire:

Intended as a defense of diversity in law enforcement, her statement instead exposed the fundamental flaws of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) policies, sparking widespread criticism across social media platforms like X.
Crockett’s revelation is a disservice to the principles of meritocracy that should underpin our justice system. Public defenders hold immense responsibility, advocating for clients who often face life-altering consequences.
Hiring based on race rather than qualifications risks undermining the quality of representation and eroding public trust.
Crockett may have thought she was making a point, but all she did was prove why DEI’s unchecked absurdity needs to be dismantled.
