The confusion over the case of Hunter Biden’s laptop continues. Top House Republican Jim Jordan claims the public is witnessing a conspiracy. The politician noted the laptop has been on an incredible journey — from not being Hunter Biden’s laptop to now being something President Joe Biden knew about for over two years.

Hunter Biden, the son of President Joe Biden, reportedly stands at the precipice of an indictment by federal authorities while his father serves as Commander-in-Chief.

The story of the Hunter Biden laptop began with little to no impact on the Biden presidency. However, President Biden and his family have been reeled into the narrative now being reported by The Washington Post.

Rep. Jordan believes the switch in tone from The Washington Post suggests Hunter Biden is close to being indicted. Among the changes considered are tax evasion and money laundering.

According to Jordan, it “sure seems” like Hunter Biden is heading towards an indictment.

He also noted the irony that the latest news on the subject is being reported by The Washington Post when, in 2019, reporting in the newspaper went to great lengths to debunk the laptop story.

“You mentioned those two stories from the Washington Post 10 days ago,” Jordan told Fox News host Maria Bartiromo. “I understand they were four minutes apart. One was at 11:00. One was at 11:04. So two eight-page-long stories four minutes apart from the news organization that said 18 months ago there was no story here, this was Russian disinformation. That tells you something is up. You don’t see the Washington Post do that.”

When the story about Hunter Biden’s laptop first came to light, the President was accused of nepotism, though Hunter Biden making money off his father’s powerful position was not a new accusation.

He had been reportedly working his way up the business ladder via his father’s name for decades, but the lost laptop was the public’s first glimpse into the world of the President’s son’s business dealings.

The laptop left for repair and seemingly forgotten about became one of the main stories of the 2020 Presidential election. In the days leading up to the disputed election, many dismissed the rumors that the laptop contained damning evidence against the Biden family as “Russian disinformation.”

The laptop’s emails reportedly contain information about Hunter’s role at the Ukrainian energy supplier, Burisma, which appears to have been little more than to trade on the prestige of his father’s position as then-Vice President.

A Congressional investigation allegedly found Hunter Biden received $50,000 per month compensation for the service he provided.

A second role, with CEFC China Energy, has also come under scrutiny. A company controlled by Hunter and his uncle, James Biden, profited $4.8 million from a consultancy role for the energy company. The payments from CEFC have yet to be discovered, opening up the possibility for accusations of tax evasion.

The possibility of Hunter Biden being indicted seems to be growing, with The Washington Post at the head of a mainstream change of heart. The link to the President’s younger brother has opened up the Biden family to more problems with the FBI and IRS.
