Hunter Biden filed a lawsuit on Tuesday against Rudy Giuliani and Giuliani’s former lawyer Robert Costello in which he alleges the two stole and shared personal data from a laptop he left at a Delaware computer repair shop.

The lawsuit, which was filed in Los Angeles, claims that the data from the computer was altered and manipulated before it was obtained by Giuliani and Costello.

Additionally, the suit alleges that the two “dedicated an extraordinary amount of time and energy toward looking for, hacking into, tampering with, manipulating, copying, disseminating, and generally obsessing over data that they were given that was taken or stolen,” reported CBS News.

Biden has not denied that the laptop is his, but he claims that some of the data saved on the device does not belong to him, per Politico.

The lawsuit cites comments made by Giuliani on a podcast, where he held up the laptop and stated, “This belongs to Hunter Biden.”

“He proceeded to brag about having copied [Hunter Biden’s] data onto his own computer and about having accessed, analyzed and manipulated the transferred data,” claims the lawsuit.

“In light of the foregoing illegal activities by Defendants, their refusals to cease and desist in their unlawful behavior, and their apparent intention to continue violating the law in the future, Plaintiff has no alternative but to commence this lawsuit,” wrote Biden’s lawyers in the suit.

Ted Goodman, a spokesperson for Giuliani, denied the allegations and said that Biden “has previously refused to admit ownership of the laptop,” reported Politico. “I’m not surprised he’s now falsely claiming his laptop hard drive was manipulated by Mayor Giuliani, considering the sordid material and potential evidence of crimes on that thing.”

Biden has recently begun pushing back against Republicans, as he has filed multiple lawsuits against parties that have engaged with the laptop.

Lawsuits have been filed by Biden’s team against John Paul Mac Isaac, the owner of the computer repair shop, the IRS, and former Donald Trump aide Garrett Ziegler, per Politico.

Many of these lawsuits present similar allegations to those against Giuliani and Costello.

Biden has also recently been indicted on one charge of illegally owning a firearm and two charges of falsifying claims in paperwork during the purchase of the firearm, as previously reported by The Dallas Express.

The charges are in relation to a 2018 purchase of a firearm in which Biden allegedly stated that he was not an unlawful user of drugs, a claim that the indictment alleges “was false and fictitious.”

Biden has already stated that he plans to plead not guilty to these charges while also requesting that he be allowed to make his first court appearance via video rather than in person.
