The Trump administration, over the past weekend, set up a striking visual demonstration on the White House lawn: dozens of posters showcasing illegal aliens arrested for serious crimes.
The posters, each emblazoned with the word “ARRESTED” and stamped with the official White House logo, lined the area known as “Pebble Beach” – the iconic stretch where news outlets often broadcast live reports outside. The mugshot photos and charges for each illegal alien are clear: murder, rape, child sexual assault, fentanyl distribution – crimes that have real victims, often American citizens, whose stories are too often brushed aside by the mainstream media.
While some online critics have immediately decried the move as “controversial,” for millions of Americans concerned about border security and safety, it was a long-overdue acknowledgment of a grim reality.
As President Trump nears his 100th day back in office, the administration is leaning into the issue that first rocketed his campaign forward: protecting American citizens from the dangers of unchecked illegal immigration.
The mainstream media has focused heavily on President Trump’s recent dip in polling, particularly in terms of tariffs, the economy, and global trade. However, when it comes to immigration, the issue that arguably matters most for national sovereignty, Trump seems to be standing on solid ground.
A recent AP-NORC survey found that 52% of Americans believe Trump’s deportation policies are either “about right” or “haven’t gone far enough.” Additionally, about 46% of respondents expressed approval of Trump’s approach to immigration, roughly 10 percentage points higher than his ratings on the economy and trade.
Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem made the administration’s position crystal clear in a recent social media post:
Every single day I receive a report on my desk of the murderers, rapists, child abusers, and other sickos that our ICE enforcement agents are arresting around the country.
Under President Trump, we have arrested over 150,000 aliens—including more than 600 members of the vicious… pic.twitter.com/rp9GxdfjLy— Secretary Kristi Noem (@Sec_Noem) April 25, 2025
“Under President Trump, we have arrested over 150,000 aliens – including more than 600 members of the vicious Tren de Aragua gang… If you are here illegally and break the law, we will hunt you down, arrest you, and lock you up,” she continued in the posted video.
Trump’s team is now expected to double down on its immigration enforcement efforts in the upcoming coming months.
White House Border Czar Tom Homan, a veteran of ICE and DHS, led a press briefing Monday morning, speaking on the impact of crime rates due to illegal immigration and the administration’s successes in getting dangerous illegal aliens off of American streets.
“America’s borders are now secure because of President Trump,” declared Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt during the briefing.
