The U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) announced Thursday a OneGov agreement with xAI, giving federal agencies access to Grok AI models for just $0.42 per organization.
The agreement runs for 18 months, through March 2027 — the longest OneGov AI deal to date. Agencies will gain access to Grok 4 and Grok 4 Fast, xAI’s advanced reasoning models.
xAI will also provide dedicated engineers to help agencies integrate Grok into their operations, offering training, technical assistance, and secure integration pathways.
“Widespread access to advanced AI models is essential to building the efficient, accountable government that taxpayers deserve—and to fulfilling President Trump’s promise that America will win the global AI race,” said Josh Gruenbaum, commissioner of GSA’s Federal Acquisition Service.
Elon Musk, xAI’s cofounder and CEO, praised the partnership, saying President Trump’s administration had “unlocked frontier AI for every federal agency.” He added that xAI has “the most powerful AI compute and most capable models in the world.”

Ross Nordeen, xAI’s cofounder, emphasized the pricing: “‘Grok for Government’ will deliver transformational AI capabilities at $0.42 per agency for 18 months, with a dedicated engineering team ensuring mission success.”
The agreement provides an upgrade path to FedRAMP- and DoD Impact Level-aligned enterprise subscriptions, enabling agencies to unlock expanded features and higher performance limits.
GSA officials said the OneGov framework simplifies AI procurement and lowers costs. The partnership is designed to accelerate federal adoption of frontier AI in line with the White House’s America’s AI Action Plan.
As previously reported by The Dallas Express, the Trump administration introduced a comprehensive AI Action Plan to ensure the United States maintains its lead in the global artificial intelligence race, building on an executive order earlier this year that removed AI regulatory barriers set by the Biden administration. The initiative outlines over 90 federal policy actions to advance innovation, infrastructure, and international AI diplomacy.
GSA leaders said agencies can begin using Grok models immediately through established procurement channels, supporting predictive analytics, automation, and mission delivery across multiple agencies.
