The New Advocacy Arm of The Independent Medical Alliance, IMA Action, launched a major grassroots campaign across Louisiana this past weekend.
The campaign engaged with over 100,000 families to rally support for Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s confirmation as Secretary of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). The effort also urged residents to contact Senator Cassidy’s state offices to express their views on the nomination.

“We’re facing a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to refocus government healthcare agencies away from big money special interests and back toward patients and families,” said Lynne Kristensen, Communications Director for IMA Action.
“The people of Louisiana have been very thankful for being contacted by our front-line doctors and they’ve been responsive to the call for action.”
Last week, IMA Action submitted a letter to the U.S. Senate supporting RFK Jr.’s confirmation. The letter now has over 31,000 signatures from healthcare professionals, scientists, and concerned citizens. Senator Ron Johnson (R-WI) officially entered the letter into the Senate records.
Kristensen highlighted the urgent need for reform: “Frontline doctors understand better than most the need for reform of America’s healthcare agencies. America spends more money than any other industrialized nation, yet with some of the worst outcomes. The government’s heavy-handed, one-size-fits-all response to the COVID pandemic was a real wakeup call to healthcare providers. It’s time to restore a true doctor-patient relationship that focuses on health first. That starts by confirming RFK Jr. to HHS Secretary.”
The campaign also included a digital advertising effort across nine states and a strong presence at the U.S. Capitol during recent hearings.
