A group of anti-Israel activists confronted Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez as she was leaving a movie theater over her alleged refusal to call Israel’s war on the terrorist organization Hamas a genocide.

In the video, posted by co-owner of Trending Politics Collin Rugg, Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) can be seen attempting to leave the theater quickly while being confronted by the activists, who followed the representative down multiple escalators.

The representative has repeatedly called for a ceasefire between the two sides, but the activists claimed she has not called the events in Gaza a “genocide.”

Ocasio-Cortez attempted to explain to one of the activists that it was “not okay” that they were following her, to which one responded by stating, “It’s not okay that there’s a genocide happening and you’re not actively against it.”

“Just say it’s a genocide. Just say it,” yelled one of them. “Over 30,000 people are dead AOC. You can’t just say it for once. Just say the word. That’s it. That’s all we want to hear.”

The activists followed the representative as she left the movie theater and went outside.

After exiting the building, Ocasio-Cortez addressed the claims that she had refused to call the events a genocide, claiming that the people following and recording her would edit the footage to push a narrative.

“You’re going to cut this, and you’re going to clip this so that it’s completely out of context. I already said that it was [genocide], and y’all are just going to pretend that it wasn’t over and over again,” she exclaimed. “It’s f****d up man. You’re not helping these people.”

Ocasio-Cortez has repeatedly called for a ceasefire between Israel and Hamas, previously calling actions taken by the Biden administration “shameful.”

“The Biden Admin can no longer reconcile their professed concern for Palestinians and human rights while also single-handedly vetoing the UN’s call for a ceasefire and sidestepping the entire U.S. Congress to unconditionally back the indiscriminate bombing of Gaza,” wrote the representative in a social media post in December 2023.

In his social media post, Rugg commented, “Notice how she isn’t getting harassed by ‘MAGA extremists.’ She is getting harassed by her own party.”
