Pennsylvania Senator John Fetterman expressed concern over Elon Musk’s growing political influence, particularly his support for Donald Trump.

Fetterman warned that Musk’s involvement could be detrimental to Democrats in Pennsylvania and nationwide.

Fetterman emphasized that Musk’s popularity and influence should not be underestimated, comparing him to the Marvel character Tony Stark. He criticized Democrats for underestimating Musk, especially as the billionaire actively campaigns for Trump and participates in rallies, according to an exclusive report in the New York Post.

Once skeptical of Trump, Musk has fully embraced the former president, campaigning with him and contributing $75 million to a pro-Trump Super PAC.

Musk made his first public appearance at a Trump campaign event this month since he endorsed Trump, saying to a crowd on October 5, “President Trump must win to preserve the Constitution. He must win to preserve democracy in America… This is a must-win situation.”

“America is the home of the brave, and there’s no truer test than courage under fire,” added Musk. “Who do you want representing America?”

“This is no ordinary election. The other side wants to take away your freedom of speech. They want to take away your right to bear arms,” continued Musk.

“Free speech is the bedrock of democracy … that’s why it’s the First Amendment. And the Second Amendment is there to ensure that we have the First Amendment,” said Musk, as previously reported by The Dallas Express.

Fetterman acknowledged the tight political race in Pennsylvania, noting that Trump has a strong connection with voters in the state, making the 2024 election “ridiculously close.”

Despite his concerns, Fetterman remains confident that President Joe Biden would have been competitive had he stayed in the race. However, he acknowledges the state’s critical role in determining the presidency.

Fetterman, known for his straightforward, working-class image, remains a vocal critic of his party’s progressive wing.

He remains a key figure supporting Biden and urging Democrats to take the 2024 election seriously, especially in swing states like Pennsylvania.
