At 62, Demi Moore has been crowned the cover star of PEOPLE’S World’s Most Beautiful 2025, a title that celebrates her enduring charm and challenges societal views on aging, the publication announced.
Moore, known for iconic roles in Ghost, A Few Good Men, and Indecent Proposal, graced the digital cover of PEOPLE. In an interview, Moore reflected on her journey with aging and self-acceptance.
“I have a greater appreciation for all that my body has been through that brought me to now,” Moore said. “It doesn’t mean that sometimes I look in the mirror and don’t go, ‘Oh God, I look old,’ or ‘Oh, my face is falling’ — I do. But I can accept that that’s where I’m at today, and I know the difference today is that it doesn’t define my value or who I am.”
The honor follows a standout year for Moore, marked by her critically acclaimed performance in the body-horror film “The Substance,” which earned her awards at the SAG Awards, Golden Globes, and Critics’ Choice Awards in 2025.
In the annual World’s Most Beautiful edition of the magazine, “We’re taking a look at stars who have dominated the cultural conversation. We’re examining and challenging the cultural beauty standards that so many people grapple with. And we’re celebrating the determination and inner strength that is what really shines through on the screen for these women,” said PEOPLE magazine’s editor-in-chief, Charlotte Triggs.
Moore’s selection has sparked widespread admiration, with fans and peers praising her defiance of ageist stereotypes. Her daughter, Rumer Willis, shared her pride on Instagram, writing, “Ummm holy s***. That’s my mom.”
Moore, who became the world’s highest-paid actress in 1996 for “Striptease,” continues to redefine beauty standards. Her recent accolades, including being named one of TIME’s 100 Most Influential People of 2025, underscore her cultural impact.
