Elon Musk, the man behind Tesla and SpaceX, continues to show his affection for Texas, announcing potential plans this week to expand his quirky Tesla Diner concept to the Lone Star State.
The futuristic Tesla Diner is going well. Probably makes sense to open one near our Giga Texas HQ in Austin and engineering HQ in Palo Alto. 😋 https://t.co/l0DUtR8CFg

As previously reported by The Dallas Express, the auto giant’s recent venture has drawn large crowds to the drive-in style restaurant, complete with Superchargers, drive-in movie screens, and even robotic servers serving popcorn.
A diner expansion project would come at an opportune time for Texas, where Musk relocated Tesla’s headquarters from California in 2021.
As Tesla’s Giga Factory in Texas ramps up Cybertruck production—and eyes more autonomy milestones for its robotaxis —a diner outpost could supercharge the job market and boost tourism.
In related Musk milestones this week, SpaceX shared new mockup photos of its “moon lander.”
The design is reportedly a simpler approach aimed at speeding up NASA’s next moon mission, Artemis III. The images show better landing stability on the moon’s dusty surface and modern fuel-transfer systems planned for testing in 2026.

Meanwhile, SpaceX launched another rocket on October 25 from California, sending up 28 Starlink satellites to help boost its internet service provided to areas across the U.S., including Texas. The launch was the company’s 135th “orbital launch” this year, per Space.Com, breaking its previous record set in 2024.
