Christopher Peter Lambros, a former nurse employed at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Grand Junction, Colorado, was arrested on October 25 for allegedly sexually assaulting unconscious patients. Lambros has been charged with three counts of sexual assault, a class three felony in the state.

The assaults allegedly occurred between April 30 and July 9.

On July 9, 2022, a coworker of Lambros entered a patient’s room with the lights off and the curtains drawn, according to the affidavit. The coworker pulled back the curtains to reveal Lambros’ head on the patient’s stomach while her gown was pulled up exposing both her breasts and genitals. Lambros was allegedly holding his cell phone “in a position as if he was taking a ‘selfie’ picture.”

The coworker states that once Lambros realized she was there, he quickly dropped the phone and covered the patient with a gown and blanket. The coworker left the hospital shortly afterward and notified her supervisor.

Officer Brian Alcon later called Lambros on the phone. Lambros revealed to Alcon that he was simply giving the patient blood clot injections, which require access to the abdomen.

When Alcon pressed Lambros upon why his coworker would make false allegations, Lambros stated they had “petty workplace issues.”

Lambros voluntarily surrendered his phone to Officer Alcon who did not find any photos that revealed the alleged misconduct.

However, Officer Alcon suspected the photos to have been deleted and booked the phone into evidence for further investigation. Lambros refused to give Alcon his PIN number.

Officer Alcon then obtained a search warrant and the phone underwent a digital forensic analysis which uncovered “Lambros… photographing himself sucking on victims’ breasts and digitally penetrating victims.”

In total, 168 videos and photos were deleted between April 30 and July 9.

In a video taken on June 24, Lambros can be heard whispering to the camera, “don’t ever get rid of these videos… you need to keep them forever… this is your Dexter collection.”

After the initial police report, St. Mary’s Medical Center put Lambros on administrative leave. Following his October 25 arrest, the hospital terminated his employment.

“We have zero tolerance for inappropriate behavior,” said St. Mary’s Medical Center in a press release.

“What [Lambros] is accused of is reprehensible and goes against everything we believe and value at St. Mary’s Medical Center. Patients put their trust in us and should feel safe in our care.”

Lambros is in custody at the Mesa County jail on a $250,000 cash bond.
