Congress has been waiting to talk with FBI Director Christopher Wray for months now.
Special counsel John Durham’s report last week about the agency’s “unethical” conduct during the Russia investigation has intensified their interest.
Now, the Washington Examiner is reporting, Wray will appear before the House Judiciary Committee in mid-July. The House also wants to question Durham, but nothing has been finalized.
The committee has been expressing concerns about the FBI’s “weaponization” and politicization of government investigations.
A new concern was raised over the weekend. A report indicated the FBI misused a surveillance tool while investigating those who attended the events of January 6, 2021, in Washington.
