Two Republican congresswomen say they will push for separate, full House votes on impeachment for FBI Director Christopher Wray and President Joe Biden.

U.S. Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene of Georgia on Wednesday said that she would offer her articles of impeachment against Wray as a privileged resolution, meaning it must be voted on within two days.

U.S. Rep. Lauren Boebert of Colorado on Tuesday offered her articles of impeachment of Biden as a privileged resolution as well.

“Christopher Wray spit in our faces and disrespected our Oversight Committee and our Chairman Comer by forcing us to see redacted versions of UNCLASSIFIED 1023 forms that gave proof of then VP Joe Biden taking a $5 million bribe,” Greene tweeted.

“I’m turning my Articles of Impeachment on Wray into a privileged resolution. Wray is a bad cop hiding Joe Biden’s crimes and must be held accountable. I won’t tolerate this level of disrespect and pure criminal corruption,” she continued.

Greene’s and Boebert’s resolutions did not have the support of House managers such as Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-CA). But the entire chamber has to vote within two days.

“If we just bring something to the floor with only two days’ notice, what case have you made to the American public?” McCarthy asked, according to The Washington Examiner. “I take this role very seriously. I take swearing and upholding the Constitution. So if it ever rises to that level, I’m not opposed to moving impeachment. But just to put something on the floor because someone disagrees with somebody is not the responsibility, I believe, of doing it correctly.”

Greene last month introduced the articles of impeachment against Wray and Biden.

“Not only has Director Wray persecuted political opponents in an unprecedented and partisan way, but he has also overseen his agency take actions to shield and protect the current President and his family,” she said in a May statement. “A senior FBI official left the agency under a cloud of accusations that he shielded a laptop belonging to the President’s son, Robert Hunter Biden, from a criminal probe.”

“It is unacceptable for the Director of the FBI or any civil officer to exercise his power in a way that targets one political class while doing favors for the other,” the statement continued.

It is unclear why Greene and Boebert did not team up on the Biden impeachment. They have been at odds over some issues recently.

“I am bringing my articles of impeachment against Joe Biden to the House Floor in a privileged motion, meaning that every Member of Congress must vote on holding Joe Biden accountable,” Boebert tweeted on Tuesday.

Also in the House on Wednesday, a renewed effort was made to censure U.S. Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) by U.S. Rep. Anna Paulina Luna (R-FL). A similar measure failed earlier this week.

Luna alleges Schiff misled the American public during the Donald Trump-Russia investigation.

“Trump is threatening to primary any Republican that doesn’t vote for it. It shows you just who is behind this whole effort to distract from Trump’s legal problems is Trump,” Schiff told CNN. “But to waste the floors time on this false and defamatory resolution is a disservice to the country.”
