At least 70 people have been killed and 400 injured in the collision of three trains in India, reports say.
Nearly 50 ambulances were on the scene in the eastern state of Odisha, local officials say.
India’s Chief Secretary Pradeep Jena said two passenger trains and a freight train were involved.
Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi told Indian media the situation was distressing.
“Rescue ops are underway at the site of the mishap and all possible assistance is being given to those affected,” Modi tweeted.
