The Department of Homeland Security has reportedly revoked the legal status of thousands of migrants who crossed into the country over the last few years using the CBP One app.

CBP One was a phone application used by the Biden administration that allowed migrants to legally enter the United States for a temporary amount of time, which was meant to discourage the high number of illegal crossings that were taking place at the southern border.

However, the Biden administration allowed more than 936,500 people into the U.S. through the CBP One app through the end of 2025, according to the Associated Press.

President Donald Trump took down this app and ended this process on his first day in office.

Now, the Trump Administration has informed thousands of migrants who entered the country through the CBP One app that they will have to depart from the United States “immediately” or face arrest and deportation, according to AP.

The DHS sent messages to migrants who entered through this app to inform them about the requirement to leave the country.

“If you do not depart the United States immediately you will be subject to potential law enforcement actions that will result in your removal from the United States — unless you have otherwise obtained a lawful basis to remain here,” wrote the DHS in a message, per CBS News.

One email sent to a Honduran family who entered the country last year was reviewed by AP, with the Department of Homeland Security writing in the email that it is “time for you to abandon the United States.”

The Department of Homeland Security wrote in a statement about the decision that Biden “abused the parole authority to allow millions of illegal aliens into the U.S.,” which contributed to a growing issue along the southern border.

“Under federal law, Secretary [Kristi] Noem — in support of the President — has full authority to revoke parole. Canceling these paroles is a promise kept to the American people to secure our borders and protect national security,” continued the statement, per The Hill.
