Hours later, police arrested Tiffany Williams, 26, for “Injury to a child – Serious bodily injury.”

Williams was booked into the Dallas County Jail. As of Tuesday afternoon, she is still being held at the jail on a $1 million bond.

The Dallas Express reached out to the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services (DFPS) to confirm reports of previous Child Protective Service involvement with this family.

A DFPS spokesperson confirmed that they had been involved with this family in the past, but state law prevents them from sharing details.

DFPS also confirmed the family’s five other children, ages 7, 6, 3, 1, and 3 months were removed from the home and placed into foster care.

The organization confirmed it is investigating the circumstances around Zamaurian’s death as well.
