Beyond his role at the Dallas Express, Monty Bennett has over three decades of experience in the hospitality industry, Monty Bennett is the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Ashford Inc., a real estate company specializing in hospitality and property management. He also founded and chairs both Ashford Hospitality Trust and Braemar Hotels & Resorts, where he significantly expanded their combined portfolio from a modest collection of hotels to a substantial array of properties throughout the United States.

Monty Bennett’s commitment to the DFW community extends beyond his business ventures. He is actively involved in civic initiatives, advocating for improvements in public safety, education, and homelessness ensuring the Dallas Metroplex can be a city of safety and prosperity for all its people.

Philanthropy

A passionate advocate for education, children’s welfare, and community development, Monty Bennett has worked tirelessly to support over 80 nonprofit organizations. Education

Holding both a Master of Business Administration from Cornell’s S.C. Johnson Graduate School of Management and a Bachelor of Science degree with distinction from the School of Hotel Administration, Mr. Bennett remains actively connected to his alma mater as a life member of the Cornell Hotel Society.
