A handful of shops in Dallas-Fort Worth have made Yelp’s 2025 list of the Top 100 Ice Cream Shops in the United States.
Yelp ranked the best shops in the country based on star ratings, the volume of reviews, and user submissions. The list was released ahead of National Ice Cream Day, which lands on July 20 this year.
No. 14 – Botolino Gelato Artigianale (2116 Greenville Ave, Dallas)
Dallas’ Botolino Gelato Artigianale took the top spot in North Texas. With 644 reviews averaging 4.8 stars, this shop has solidified its reputation as a city favorite. Expect fan favorites like Coffee Gelato, Affogato, and Salted Caramel Gelato.
“The best gelato in the Northern/Western Hemispheres! All the flavors are amazingly delicious, and the service is great. The cleanest & cutest place ever!” read one enthusiastic review from late June.
No. 36 – Sugar Pine Creamery (6832 Coit Rd #270b, Plano)
Sugar Pine Creamery is the first of two Plano spots to make the top 100 list. Customers at this popular spot can choose their favorite soft serve flavor, such as Toasted Marshmallow, and top it off with items like Pocky Sticks, cookie crumbs, or gummy bears.
“They are so popular at just about all hours, any day, and I can see why! They have such unique flavors that they rotate every couple of weeks, and their toppings and cones are amazing!!” read one review.
No. 53 – Churn and Bake Ice Cream (2707 W 15th St Ste C, Plano)
This artisan ice cream and bake shop is the second Plano spot to make the list. Cool off in the Texas heat with Asian-inspired ice cream flavors, like Vietnamese Coffee Rocky Road, Thai Tea, and Black Sesame.
“Churn and Bake is literally an ice cream heaven,” said one reviewer.
No. 81 – Sweet Firefly (2701 Custer Pkwy #810, Richardson)
Grab some gourmet, handcrafted ice cream at this Richardson establishment. Popular ice cream flavors include Coffee Toffee Crunch, Cookie Monster, and Birthday Cake.
“Friendly service, concise menu… couldn’t ask for more!” said one review in early June.
