A robotic hair restoration solution that leverages artificial intelligence is being rolled out at a men’s health clinic here in Dallas.

The ARTAS iXi is the world’s first hair restoration system that uses cutting-edge robotics combined with an AI backbone. Now, the tech is available for patients at Dallas Men’s Health, a men’s sexual health and aesthetics clinic on North Hall Street. The practice is led by Dr. Michael Wierschem, a urologist with 25 years of experience, including 15 years serving as the chief of Urology at Baylor Scott & White Medical Center in Plano.

Venus, the maker of the ARTAS iXi, claims the platform allows physicians to administer automated procedures with “the greatest accuracy.” It accomplishes this using an “advanced multi-camera stereoscopic vision system with 44-micron resolution” combined with a seven-axis robotic arm. The AI component analyzes and selects “appropriate grafts from the donor area without the risk of linear scarring.”

The unit itself weighs 400 pounds and is just under three feet long and nearly two feet wide.

Not only does the new technology allow the hair restoration process to be performed more accurately compared to other treatments, but it purportedly also requires less recovery time and results in minimal discomfort, rated one to two on a scale of 10. Nine out of 10 patients say the experience was “worth it.”

“Adding ARTAS AI-integrated Automated Hair Restoration to our suite of men’s wellness services furthers our commitment to comfortably improve men’s health and well-being. When men look good, they feel good about themselves, gain confidence, and live happier, more fulfilling lives,” said Wierschem in a press release.
