A UPS delivery truck driver was killed when her vehicle was struck by a train at a rural railroad crossing in Hunt County, authorities said.

The crash occurred just after 11:30 a.m. on Thursday at a crossing on County Road 1153 in the community of Floyd, west of Greenville, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.

The driver, identified as 24-year-old Dusty L. Soles of Celeste, was operating a 2018 Freightliner box truck and failed to yield to an oncoming eastbound Canadian Pacific train, DPS said.

She died at the scene.

Video footage from the scene shows the wreckage of the UPS truck near a railroad crossing without warning lights or crossing arms. The circumstances leading to the collision remain under investigation, and no further details were immediately available.

UPS confirmed the driver’s death and expressed grief over the loss.

“We are deeply saddened by the passing of one of our team members. Our thoughts are with our driver’s family, friends and colleagues during this difficult time. We are cooperating fully with the authorities to understand what happened and defer additional questions to them,” UPS spokesperson Jim Mayer said in a statement, per CBS News.

The company said it is working with law enforcement as the investigation continues.
