Richardson police arrested two teenagers from Anna in connection with a shooting on March 19 at 120 West Spring Valley Road in Richardson that left an 18-year-old man with life-threatening injuries and permanent paralysis.

Taylor Griffin, 18, and Charles Webster, 17, both of Anna, were taken into custody Thursday and charged with engaging in organized criminal activity. Investigators believe both suspects participated in the events leading up to and during the shooting.

Detectives say the incident began as a conflict between two groups in the Waffle House parking lot that escalated when multiple individuals drew handguns and fired their weapons.

The victim, Seth Jackson, 18, has undergone three surgeries and remains hospitalized. He is permanently disabled from the waist down and will require inpatient rehabilitation after his release.

The investigation remains ongoing, and police said additional arrests are anticipated. No further details were released, and no bond has yet been set for the suspects.

“Our thoughts are with the victim, 18-year-old Seth Jackson and his family, as he remains in the hospital,” police said in a statement. “We are committed to seeking justice for Mr. Jackson and ensuring that those responsible are held accountable.”

A GoFundMe page set up for Jackson’s family described the injuries as life-threatening and noted the family faces uncertainty over the length of his hospital stay and future needs. The page asks first for prayers for healing, patience, peace, and recovery, and then for donations to help with medical costs, time away from work, bills, and other expenses.

As of Friday morning, more than $46,000 of the $50,000 goal had been raised, with 515 donations.
