A viral hot chicken chain from Los Angeles is set to face intense competition when it arrives in North Texas.
The Red Chickz is a popular Nashville hot chicken restaurant that has been making waves on social media. Now, the chain plans on expanding to North Texas after signing a multi-unit franchise agreement with local entrepreneur Nazar Osman.
“I discovered The Red Chickz while researching franchise concepts, and their quality food, social media presence, and strong support system stood out immediately,” Osman said in a statement, per Dallas Innovates.
“After visiting locations in L.A. and San Diego, I knew this was the right fit. Dallas-Fort Worth, especially the fast-growing North Dallas suburbs, is the perfect place to introduce the brand and build lasting success.”
The North Texas expansion comes after The Red Chickz debuted in Metro Houston and Beaumont. Now, the restaurant, which boasts 1.2 million followers on TikTok, is branching out to other parts of the Lone Star State.
“Ordered the 9.99 lunch special with Tenders, potato wedges and a drink. The food was really good and fresh!” read a review of the Cypress, Texas location.
“Everything was made to order but I didn’t have to wait long. I would say two tenders go along way I was full off just one and the wedges. The wedges were crispy and seasoned but not salty. Just be mindful of the spice level for the tenders! I’ll definitely come back!”
The popular chain is going to face fiery competition when it lands. The Metroplex and beyond are already stocked with options like Dave’s Hot Chicken, Clutch City Cluckers, Lucky’s Hot Chicken, and Palmer’s Hot Chicken.
Patrons of The Red Chickz can expect items like their original hot chicken sandwich, loaded buffalo mac-n-cheese, chipotle corn ribs, cauliflower bites, and more.
The chain currently has franchise agreements locked down in California, New Jersey, North Carolina, and elsewhere, with over 35 units in development across the country.
