Dallas-Fort Worth is not short on hair-raising haunted houses to get you in the Halloween spirit this month.

More than a typical haunted house, this immersive experience inside the BooMont Hotel will have you attempt to solve the 100-year-old mystery of the missing guests. The one-hour attraction runs through October 31 at Galleria Dallas. Tickets run from $14.95 to $24.95 for children and from $24.95 to $34.95 for adults.

Forest of Shadows

Try to hold back goosebumps while exploring the sinister forest in this one-hour experience, designed for individuals aged 10 and above. Forest of Shadows is open Thursdays through Sundays from 7:15 p.m. to 9:45 p.m. at Trinity Adventure Park. Tickets are $22.90 for children and $28.90 for those 13 and older.

Fright Fest

Once again, Six Flags in Arlington will feature haunted mazes, scare zones, and live shows. The annual event runs through November 2 from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. on Fridays, from noon to midnight on Saturdays, and from noon to 10 p.m. on Sundays. Admission starts at $30.

Haunted Shadows Lake Trail

This haunted trail walk takes you through the forest off the shore of Lake Lewisville. Keep an eye out for werewolves, zombies, and the Lady of the Lake. The event is open Fridays and Saturdays from 7:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. and Sundays from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. at TOCA Soccer Center in The Colony. Entry costs $29.95.

Hangman’s House of Horrors

For over three decades, the legend of Hezekiah Jones, also known as “The Hangman,” has been haunting residents of Fort Worth. Now is your chance to meet the legend himself.

Hangman’s House of Horrors is open now through November 2, with hours on Thursdays from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m., Fridays and Saturdays from 8 p.m. to midnight, and Sundays from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. at 4400 Blue Mound Road in Fort Worth. Tickets cost $39.

Dark Hour Haunted House

Expect spine-tingling frights at this haunted manor in Plano. The Dark Hour Haunted House runs until November 1 at 701 Taylor Dr. Tickets are $35 for children 10 and older and $45 for adults.
