The demonstrations were part of a broader response across North Texas, where participants voiced their concerns over the administration’s immigration policies.
Since taking office last week, President Trump has signed over 200 executive orders, with several focusing on immigration. They include:
- Declaring an emergency along the Southern Border to stymie asylum seekers.
- Enhancing deportation efforts
- Attempting to end birthright citizenship
- Appointing former acting director of Immigration and Customs Enforcement as the nation’s new Border Czar.
