North Texas will more than likely see rain rather than snow for Christmas.
Rain chances this week will remain in the single-digit percentage range until Thursday, when they will jump to 57%, followed by a whopping 88% on Friday, according to The Weather Channel.
Temperatures leading up to Christmas Eve are expected to be pleasant and steady, sitting at highs/lows of 60/45 on Tuesday, 66/55 on Wednesday, 65/55 on Thursday, 65/56 on Friday, and 66/56 on Saturday.
Christmas Eve is anticipated to offer temperatures of nearly 70 degrees, with the lows only dipping into the 50s. Daytime winds could reach 10 to 15 mph. Humidity will be 87%, with the chance of daytime scattered thunderstorms currently at 60% and 51% for the evening.
On Christmas Day, children may wake up to see evidence of Santa’s wet footprints around the Christmas tree.
December 25 brings with it a 40% daytime chance of rain and 33% during the evening, with an expected high of 64 and a low of 43. Humidity will hover around 73%, with 5 to 10 mph winds.
After Christmas, the chances of rain will be significantly lower, dropping to 16%. Expect to see a mix of sunshine and clouds heading into the New Year, with temperatures hovering in the upper 50s.
