SafeSplash Swim School will open its second Fort Worth location by the year’s end.

The company operates 14 franchises in North Texas, including its Golden Triangle Boulevard location in Fort Worth. The second location in Fort Worth has an estimated construction cost of $631,000 and includes the finish-out of a 4,676-square-foot space. This new location will be at Victory Shops at Basswood on Blue Mound Road. The filing notes an anticipated completion date of November 15.

SafeSplash Swim School offers swimming lessons for age groups ranging from toddlers and infants to adults. Its lessons are comprehensive, “ranging from the fundamentals of water safety to competitive instruction so that our swimmers love the water are safe and swim for life,” according to its website. It offers private lessons, adaptive aquatics, camps and clinics, open swimming, and swim-team prep.

“Learning to swim is one of the few childhood activities that could actually save your child’s life. We strive to give every child the opportunity to learn the life saving skill of swimming from passionate, certified instructors so they are safer, strong and confident in the water for a lifetime,” reads the website.

According to a report by the National Recreation and Park Association, the risk of drowning may be reduced by almost 90% when children receive formal swimming lessons between the ages of 1 and 14.

SafeSplash is owned by California-based Youth Enrichment Brands, which also owns School of Rock, i9 Sports, US Sports Camps, and Streamline Brands. Founded in 2020, it serves nearly 1 million kids worldwide each year.

In North Texas, SafeSplash’s other facilities are in Plano, McKinney, Prosper, Flower Mound, Lewisville, Frisco, Grand Prairie, Murphy, Garland, and Arlington. Youth Enrichment Brands operates more than 100 SafeSplash schools in the United States.
