Police Investigate After Woman, Dog Found Dead In Vehicle Outside McKinney Walmart

McKinney police are investigating after a 53-year-old woman and a dog were found dead inside a vehicle in a Walmart parking lot on August 8.

Officers responded around 4:30 p.m. to the Walmart parking lot along Virginia Parkway after Jaton Lee, 53, was found dead inside the vehicle, CBS Texas reported, citing McKinney police.

Police said officers also found a dog dead inside the vehicle.

The McKinney Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division and the Collin County Medical Examiner’s Office responded to the scene.

Medical examiner to determine cause

The medical examiner will determine Lee’s cause of death.

Authorities have not released a cause of death for the dog or additional information about what led to the deaths.

Police also have not said how long Lee and the dog had been inside the vehicle.
