A nurse at a Dallas-Fort Worth hospital is facing public controversy after threatening ICE officers who assist with mass deportations.
Conservative social media influencer Libs of TikTok posted on X that a “Nurse at a Dallas-Fort Worth hospital in Texas posts threatening message toward ICE officers and instructs other hospital staff on how to ignore ICE agents if they show up at hospitals.”
Instructions posted by a nurse who calls herself “authenticallymegs” included information such as “You are not required to speak with ICE agents, cooperate with the agents, help agents find the person they are looking for, or answer agents’ questions, in most cases.”
“Tell ICE Agents, ‘I do not wish to speak with you or answer your questions based on my 5th Amendment rights under the U.S. Constitution’ or, ‘I do not have the authority to consent; please wait outside our patient care area while I contact my supervisor.’ Repeat these statements until further direction from your superior,” read another step to follow.
A picture that was posted on TikTok showed the nurse posing, giving the middle finger, adding the caption: “ICE can now raid hospitals. Show up on my unit and I’ll show you why I am my father’s daughter.”
As of Thursday afternoon, the nurse’s instructions reposted by Libs of TikTok had received over 5 million views, igniting public backlash.
“This nurse’s behavior is unacceptable, putting politics over patients and safety, a disturbing trend on the left. It’s outrageous that hospital staff would be instructed to ignore ICE agents, compromising national security and the rule of law, this kind of activism has no place in healthcare,” Stop Socialist Tyranny posted on X.
“Fire her,” added X user Jack Poso.
The “authentucallymegs” account has reportedly been deleted from TikTok.
