Social media influencer Jake Lang may not enter Texas except for court appearances or meetings with his attorney under bond conditions imposed in his felony terroristic threat case.

As previously reported by The Dallas Express, North Texas authorities arrested Lang, whose legal name is Edward Jacob Lang, on June 9 after he appeared outside the Collin County Courthouse during proceedings tied to Karmelo Anthony’s murder conviction and sentencing.

Authorities arrested Lang around 5 p.m. after he dined at Pizzeria Testa in Frisco.

Bond Conditions

Lang may enter Texas only for court appearances or meetings with his attorney, according to court records reviewed by FOX 4.

The restriction was imposed after a judge reduced Lang’s bond from $1 million to $250,000. Lang must also wear an electronic monitoring device as a condition of release.

Lang has denied wrongdoing and argued that he is being unfairly targeted because of his political views.

Second Recent Arrest

The June 9 arrest marked Lang’s second recent encounter with North Texas law enforcement. As previously reported by The Dallas Express, authorities arrested Lang on June 2 on an active criminal trespass warrant tied to an alleged April 2025 incident in Frisco.

Lang faces a third-degree felony charge of making a terroristic threat. The case remains pending.

Lang Disputes Charge

Lang disputed his latest arrest in a post on X, claiming the charge stemmed from comments he made about Anthony’s conviction.

“Jake jokingly said he would carry out capital punishment on Karmelo if the courts failed to convict him and for that he was charged with ‘Felony Terroristic Threats,’” the post stated.

Authorities have not confirmed Lang’s characterization of the conduct underlying the charge.
