With the holiday season wrapping up, residents of North Texas can dispose of their Christmas trees through the various city programs that are ongoing this month.

Dallas

Christmas trees can be dropped off at one of four City of Dallas Transfer Stations through February 3. Trees must be free of decorations but are not required to be wrapped or bagged. Only one tree per household is allowed at the transfer stations. If you need to dispose of more than one, head to McCommas Bluff Landfill.

Fort Worth

Fort Worth residents can dispose of their natural Christmas trees during weekly yard waste pickup days. The trees must be free of decorations.

Allen

Residents of Allen can dispose of trees that are six feet tall and under during assigned trash collection days through the second Friday of the new year (January 10). Trees above this height need to be cut into smaller segments for collection. Trees should be placed at least two feet away from trash and recycling bins.

Arlington

Through January 15, Arlington residents can bring their Christmas trees to the Arlington Landfill at 800 Mosier Valley Road to have them mulched free of charge.

Bedford

You can bring your tree to the Meadow Park Athletic Complex at 3200 Meadow Park Dr. through January 5 for free recycling. Christmas trees must have all decorations removed.

Euless

Euless residents can drop off decoration-free trees at the new designated area on the northeast side of the Rec Center through January 9.

Frisco

If you live in Frisco, you can opt for curbside pickup at home or manual disposal at the Environmental Collection Center. Trees over five feet in height must be cut into sections, and all decorations must be removed.

Garland

Leave your decoration-free tree on the curb during designated collection days.

Grand Prairie

Through January 8, Grand Prairie residents can drop off live trees that have been cleared of decorations at IKEA at 1000 IKEA Way or the Grand Prairie Landfill at 1102 MacArthur Blvd.

Irving

Through January 12, trees can be brought to multiple locations in the city or placed on the curb for weekly brush/bulky waste pickup.

Lewisville

Lewisville Lake Park soccer fields are accepting live trees free of decorations through January 10.

Mansfield

Through January 17, you can bring your live tree to the self-service trailer next to the Home Depot-Mansfield Towne Crossing garden center for free recycling.

McKinney

You can choose between home pickup and do-it-yourself drop-off. McKinney will be running the Christmas tree disposal program through January 19.

Richardson

Richardson residents can drop cleared trees off at the Municipal Service Center at 1260 Columbia Dr. or request a curbside pickup until February 7.
